Six years after Basket Case writer/director Frank Henenlotter finally got to make another film, and he made it count. This twisted creature feature that mixes body horror with some razor sharp dark comedy actually has a lot to say about drug addiction and the havoc it can cause to not just the addict, but those around them. Henenlotter would later round out his loose seedy NYC trilogy with Frankenhooker.
