Called La planete sauvage in it's native France, Director René Laloux's beautiful and bizarre feature was the first animated film to ever be screened at Cannes. The score by composer Alain Goraguer is a unforgettable, and the animation by Roland Topor was a huge inspiration for the 2000 cult classic The Cell.
