Although produced by Guillermo del Toro, the true star here is Director André Øvredal, who's brought us Troll Hunter, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, and the very recent Passenger.
This film is very much a love letter to work of author Alan Schwartz and artist Stephen Gammel.
